Bhaktapur

 Monday, March 13, 2023 continued

On the way to Kathmandu we were treated to a personal guided tour of the town of Bhaktapur. This is a cultural city in Nepal with an area dedicated to Hindu and Buddha gods with many temples. A lot of the area was destroyed in 2015 with the major earthquake but is in the process of being restored. It is an area rich in tradition and religious ties. This is wedding "season" and many couples were in the area for their photo shoots. Their wedding regalia is something to behold.

Of course the visit wasn't without food! These people love to EAT!

When Juliya suggested ice cream I was thrilled! Until I realized it was just frozen curd. I opted for Boba Tea.

The chips below are a legend. They were tasty and satisfied my potato chip craving.

We completed our day with a trip to Fire and Ice for "American" pizza.  LOL
